Aus Living Support charity has unveiled a new way to blend sustainability, style, and social media with the launch of Sunshine Coast’s first op shop Selfie Booth for Instagram influencers & customers at its Maroochydore store.
The creative new feature aims to attract a younger generation of thrift shoppers and content creators by providing a fun, photo-ready space where visitors can show off their op shop finds and share them online — all while supporting a good cause.
“Op shopping is all about discovery, personality, and creativity — just like social media,” said Leanne Harrison, Store Manager at Aus Living Support Maroochydore. “Our new selfie booth gives customers a space to celebrate their unique style and spread the message that sustainable fashion can be both fun and fashionable.”
The specially designed booth features bright lighting, ring light, and props — offering the perfect Instagram able moment. Each selfie taken and shared helps promote second-hand shopping and raises awareness of Aus Living Support’s community initiatives across the Sunshine Coast.
All proceeds from the Maroochydore store go directly toward supporting Aus Living Support’s vital local programs, supporting struggling families, domestic violence survivors, vulnerable children & the homeless.

The Selfie Booth is now open to the public at Aus Living Support Op Shop, 27 Evans Street Maroochydore, during regular store hours.
