PTSD Dogs Australia is thrilled to announce the expansion of its acclaimed “Train Your Own” program, now available to all Australians living with psychiatric conditions. By empowering individuals to train their own assistance dog, the organisation is breaking barriers and offering hope, healing, and greater independence to thousands nationwide.
Historically focused on Veterans and 000 First Responders, the “Train Your Own” program has delivered extraordinary results—helping participants manage PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other psychiatric challenges through the powerful bond with a trained assistance dog. The expanded program now welcomes Australians from all walks of life navigating mental health conditions, reinforcing PTSD Dogs Australia’s commitment to inclusivity and support.
