Local Karate Athletes Competing on the World Stage

Sunshine Coast Karate, a leading martial arts school, is proud to announce that 15 of its skilled competitors will be representing Australia at the highly anticipated Karate World Championships in Japan this August.

Having dedicated themselves to rigorous training for the past 18 months, these talented athletes are now in the final stages of preparation, fine-tuning their skills and mental focus to deliver exceptional performances on the global stage.

The Chito-Ryu Karate World Championships, renowned as the pinnacle event in the Chito-Ryu Karate community, will provide an unparalleled platform for these remarkable individuals to showcase their prowess and determination.

The Sunshine Coast Karate team, led by experienced coaches and supported by the passionate community, is set to make a significant impact at the tournament. The team members have exhibited unwavering dedication, commitment, and resilience throughout their training journey, consistently pushing their limits to achieve peak physical and mental performance.

As a testament to their hard work and talent, on July 23rd, these exceptional athletes will be officially presented with their coveted Australian Team Jackets during a special ceremony. This honour reflects their exemplary skills and serves as a symbol of their representation of the nation at the prestigious Chito-Ryu Karate World Championships.
