The Hive Honeypot Classic Pickleball Tournament

The Sunshine Coast’s booming pickleball community will descend on Matthew Flinders Anglican College in Buderim this weekend for the inaugural Hive Honeypot Classic, a three-day tournament hosted by The Pickleball Hive.

Running from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 April, the event has attracted more than 200 registered players from across the region for a weekend of competitive matches across multiple divisions.

Pickleball has exploded on the Sunshine Coast, and the Honeypot Classic is our way of celebrating the incredible community that’s grown around it, To have more than 200 players register for our first Honeypot Classic is beyond what we hoped for — it shows just how much appetite there is for the sport here.”

The tournament is supported by a strong lineup of sponsors, including Ray White Buderm, Six Zero Pickleball, The Recovery Room, Hive & Harvest and Picklesox. Spectators can enjoy an on-site BBQ and coffee from local vendor Siphaus throughout the weekend.

Entry is free for spectators, with all matches running across the courts at Matthew Flinders Anglican College, Buderim.
