Sunshine Coast New Year’s Eve 2023

This New Year’s Eve, enjoy fireworks displays in Mooloolaba, Caloundra and Coolum.

Caloundra (Kings Beach) New Year’s Eve starts at 4pm with fireworks at 9:30pm – and Coolum lights up at 8:30pm.

Mooloolaba New Year’s Eve is a drug, glass and alcohol-free event with patrolled security and searches on entry. From 5pm you’ll find family activities, live musicians, food and market stalls. On the beach there will be a free bungy trampoline for Under 18’s, a youth stage with live DJ’s and the amazing red frogs.

This is a fully fenced and secure patrolled event to ensure everyone has a great, safe and enjoyable evening. Firework displays are at 8:30pm and midnight.

Parking is limited so don’t forget to plan your journey ahead of time for a safe trip to and from the event — organise a lift legend, jump on the free Kinetic Park n Ride shuttle bus service, download or update your ride share apps, or visit/use the TransLink Journey Planner to plan your journey home safely.

In addition to this year –
1. FREE ‘ThinkChange’ Biker Valet Service is also available at the event from 4pm – 12:30am. Further information can be found below.
2. Neuron Mobility will also have parking stations outside the fenced and gated event zone. Riders will be able to book and use e-bikes and e-scooters through the Neuron App.

Sunshine Coast New Year’s Eve 2023 is a Sunshine Coast Council event, delivered in partnership with the Queensland Police Service (QPS) and other Emergency Services – SES, QFES, QAS, Red Frogs and Salus Medical Group.
