Everyone needs a little romance in their life. Well, Pacific Chamber Players are doing just that in their next concert series. The Sunshine Coast’s popular chamber ensemble of 24 years will be presenting Romances by Elgar, Bruch and Australian composer Noel Fidge. To spice up the programme Loeffler’s Two Rhapsodies explore the emotions written in Philip Hale’s poems “The Pool” and “The Bagpipe”. Another Fidge work, “Walkin’ with Raphy”, takes us on a walk with his ever-faithful border collie “Raphy”. Both works by Noel Fidge are world premieres! And no romantic programme can be without Gershwin’s “Our Love is Here to Stay” and “‘S Wonderful”.
