Australia’s first permanent Web3 NFT gallery opens on the Sunshine Coast

Meta Collect CEO Kenny Lienhard

A brand new, Australian first, permanent NFT (non-fungible token) gallery has opened at Baringa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

META COLLECT Chief Executive Officer Kenny Lienhard said the 195 square metre space has the capacity to exhibit collections as well as host crypto meetups, education seminars and networking events.

“As far as we know this is Australia’s first, permanent NFT gallery which will also act as our headquarters for META COLLECT. The gallery has been fitted with market-leading high-quality TokenFrame screens for authenticated NFT art activations and we have the ability to exhibit collections from across the globe on demand.

“The gallery and event space blends art and technology seamlessly and our goal is to make the Sunshine Coast a hub for both artists and tech enthusiasts where they can share and learn more about Web3 innovation.

“We are thrilled to open our gallery on the Sunshine Coast, a region which is renowned for innovation and entrepreneurship. The global NFT community is worth billions of dollars and we are only at the cusp of NFT’S growth as it extends across business, sport, art and the wider community,” Kenny said.

Kenny added that NFT’s places the power back in the hands of the artists and creators as they redefine their practice and take control of how they interact with the market.

“Many crypto artists are emerging from poverty-stricken communities and they now have the ability to sell their art and make a living via a global platform under their own terms.

“We are also developing our own NFT marketplace and publication which is focussed on supporting undiscovered Web3 artists globally while also providing the opportunity for the general public to easily mint NFT’s and broadcast them directly onto the gallery frames.

“It’s an incredibly exciting time and it is our belief that NFT’s will become an imperative addition to any business in the same way that a website is now a necessity,” Kenny said.

In 2021 the Web3 studio developed and launched multiple successful NFT projects and now plans to utilise the IP of these brands and other established NFT brands such as Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Gutter Cat Gang (GCG) to produce NFT gated digital and physical comics. The physical comics will be available for purchase directly from the gallery.

The META COLLECT gallery is located at Unit 11 9-13 Matheson St Baringa and is open to the public every Saturday from 10am-4pm or by appointment. For more information visit: www.metacollect.gallery
